Water vapor (humidity-moisture) can enter the air system through the air compressor’s inlet air filter. The compressor draws in approximately 7 cubic feet of atmospheric air at 0 psig, compressing it into 1 cubic foot of air at 100 psig. The water vapor present in the initial 7 cubic feet of air gets compressed into the 1 cubic foot of compressed air.
Compressed air contains three forms of water:
Liquid water
Aerosol (mist)
Vapor (gas)
Drying the compressed air is crucial to prevent downstream formation of liquid water, which could lead to contamination and damage within the system, causing operational issues, expensive maintenance, and repairs.
Refrigerated Dryers: The most widely used drying method
For removing water in aerosol or vapor form, SUNWIN offers Compressed Air Dryers, including refrigerated air dryers and adsorption desiccant air dryers. We also have high pressure dryers for special applications:such as PET blowing machine and Laser cutting machine.
Compressed Air Filter: Applicable to various industries
SUNWIN compressed air filters and water separators are highly efficient, removing 98% of liquid water, meanwhile they effective removal out dirt, dust, and oil from the compressed air, keeping downstream equipment safe. Our comprehensive selection offers a wide range of filter units to meet diverse needs, including precision filters, line filters, stainless steel filters, sterilization filters, and more.
Compressed Air Purification System Consumables
Furthermore, the compressed air system is equipped with various accessories that aid in purifying the compressed air. These include zero-loss pneumatic drain valves, electronic drainers, silencers, replacement filter elements and a diverse array of maintenance accessories.
